FAQ’s

Is chiropractic safe?

Chiropractic care has a very safe track record. Australian chiropractors are registered health care practitioners, who have a 5 or 6 year university degree with extensive training in providing safe treatments. As with all health care procedures there are risks and we will inform you of the safety and any risks associated with your treatment.

How long will it take to get better?

Every problem is different depending on the cause and severity of the problem, the length of time it has been there and any pre-existing conditions. Therefore the recovery time varies from person to person.

We will discuss the treatment plan for your best recovery after a thorough examination.

Do you treat other joints like knees and shoulders?

Absolutely. The most common complaints people come with are back and neck aches and pains. However chiropractors are trained to assess and treat joint, muscle, ligament and nerve conditions associated with shoulders, knees etc.

Can I do some exercises to help my recovery?

Yes. Movement is important to assist your recovery and chiropractic treatment involves active recovery. Exercises are recommended depending on the severity of your symptoms.

How much does it cost?

Refer to pricing table in the Fees page: Click Here

Does Medicare cover chiropractic?

Medicare pays for any x-rays you require. There is also provision for Medicare to pay for 5 chiropractic visit per annum for chronic conditions.

How much does my health fund reimburse for chiropractic?

Every health fund is different and it depends on your level of cover so best to check with your health fund.

Hear from the Experts

Patients receiving an initial course of spinal manipulation thrice a week for the first month had statistically significant and clinically important reductions in pain and disability.  Furthermore, those who received maintenance spinal manipulations every 2 weeks for 9 months maintained and increased their benefits, whereas those who did not receive this continuing course of care in the 2nd phase of the trial lost their earlier improvement.

Chiropractic care, including spinal manipulation, is recommended for the management of migraine and cervicogenic headaches. The type, frequency, dosage, and duration of treatment should be based on guideline recommendations, clinical experience, and knowledge of the patient.

Bryans, Descarreaux, DuranleuaxJMPT 2011

A combination of Chiropractic Manipulative Therapy and Low-Level Laser Therapy was more effective than either of the 2 on their own. Both therapies are indicated as potentially beneficial treatments for cervical facet dysfunction.
